I’m Katrine — a photographer who finds stories in people, light, and landscapes. My work is about capturing moments that feel alive, timeless, and real.

A Little About Me

I grew up in Toten, Norway, surrounded by rolling fields and deep forests. Nature has always been my backdrop — a place where stories unfold and light creates magic. Over the years, my creativity has taken many shapes: photography, writing, music, and crafts. But photography has always been the truest way for me to preserve fleeting moments that might otherwise disappear.

Beyond Photography

Alongside my photography, I work as an advisor at NTNU and hold a background in religious history and interdisciplinary cultural studies. My curiosity about people, stories, and traditions shapes the way I see the world — and it’s also what drives me as a photographer.

For me, photography is not just about images, but about human encounters. Meeting people, hearing their stories, and capturing the emotions between them is what inspires me most.

My Journey into Photography

My camera has been a steady companion since my teenage years, but it was when I began photographing people that I truly found my passion. Portraits and elopements are where I thrive — creating images that don’t just show what you looked like, but how it felt to be there.

I don’t chase perfect poses. Instead, I focus on atmosphere, emotions, and the unsaid moments that tell your story.

Norway & Scotland

Norway is my home base, with its forests, lakes, and raw beauty. But my heart has also found a second home in Scotland — especially the Isle of Skye, where I’ve spent much time photographing and exploring. The dramatic landscapes there have shaped my storytelling style, blending wild scenery with intimate connection.

Whether it’s a windswept cliff on Skye, a forest in Norway, or somewhere further away, I bring the same passion for weaving nature into your story.

My Style & Philosophy

I work mostly outdoors, in natural light, letting the weather, the wind, and the surroundings become part of the story. My goal is not perfection, but authenticity — images with soul and depth, where you can feel the moment long after it has passed.

Love takes many forms, and all of them deserve to be celebrated. I proudly photograph LGBTQ+ couples, families of all kinds, and individuals who want portraits that reflect who they are.
